MINOUCHIC BOUTIQUE
is an upscale resale boutique. Its Founders are sisters, Mai Toussaint and Marie Lynn Toussaint. The name Minou stems from Mai’s nickname, as a young girl, a term of endearment affectionately meaning, “Kitty”.
Mai’s love of fashion comes from working in the retail industry, in management, as a previous buyer at high end fashion stores, such as, “The Merchandise Mart” and receiving a BA degree in Fashion Design. Marie Lynn is a well known an accomplished Attorney who provides her legal expertise, business acumen and love of fashion. Both women have a creative eye for fashion and a bright future ahead.
Minouchic Boutique is a lifelong dream of Mai & Lynn and through hard work, networking, perseverance and determination, their dream came to fruition in December of 2013.
Minouchic sells new and resale items, quality items for less. Minouchic carries men’s, women’s, children’s clothing, accessories, shoes, jewelry, handbags, hats, paintings and more.
When you enter Minouchic Boutique, one is immediately captivated by it’s warm inviting atmosphere, exotic wall décor, exquisite taste in clothing, jewelry, shoes, amenities, to vibrant lighting and Haitian ambiance.
A landmark painting proudly adorns the wall of the shop visibly displayed as you enter. It was painted especially for Mai by the famous & renowned Haitian painter Herold Alvares. The artwork, or tree symbolism displays five women (best friends of Mai) who have proudly been friends, “deeply rooted” since grade school.
A majority of all artwork displayed in Minouchic Boutique were painted by Haitian artist Mr. Herold Alvares, who was born armless and paints these beautiful masterpieces with his feet & mouth. Many of these fabulous pieces were painted right in Minouchic. Original paintings and reprints are being sold in the store.
